The story of my collab stamping plate with Bundle Monster

Olvasd MAGYARUL                                                                                                                                 PR sample

So this happened...I still can't believe it.
Today I will write about one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

In Febrary, Bundle Monster (soon to be Maniology) contacted me and asked if I would be interested in collaborating with them, to create a stamping plate. Mmmm...hell yes!

In the last couple of years I didn't touched my stamping stuff, I was only focused on my freehand nail art. If they didn't say I can actually draw out the patterns myself, I might won't be writing these words.

I had a couple of weeks to work on the patterns, and I just jumped right into it, full of with ideas. I wanted to create patterns that I already freehanded before, I saw that you liked them, and they are just the right amount of weird, so they are just like me.

I just used simple papers with a grid (so I can keep track on my lines and sizing) and I first drew out everything with a pencil, then I used a black ink pen to trace my finished lines. You can see some "work in progress" pictures with my unfinished drawings below. The hardest thing was to figure out how much detail I can use, that won't be too much when they scale down my designs, but thankfully Alona (digital designer at BM) knew exactly how to boost up my sketches where they needed.

I don't want to blab too much longer. I will have to stop now, or else I will end up with a novella of 200 pages, but I will have to tell you one more thing. As you might know, I had the opportunity to collaborate before, but non of my previous projects were so satisfying and so ME as this plate. I had such a cretaive freedom that I never had before, and for that I'm so thankful for the BM team! No matter what crazy things I wanted, they were supporting me and made it happen. They let this stamping plate to be exactly how I wanted it to be.

I think you kinda know, this plate wasn't ment for me. Half of the patterns I already painted, and I can paint the other half anytime. I created this plate for all the guys and gals out there who enjoy to be a little bit different, who likes to have more than a plain or an easy to wear manicure. So let's stay weird together :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now let's see what designs I created with my collab plate.
I actually inserted in my handpainted designs too, just to remind you of the original inspirations.

I encourage everyone to think outside of the box with this plate, there's a lot of mix & match options here.

Btw. the majority of the product used here are BM polishes, if you want to know the name of a color, just ask me in the comments or email me.

Oh and one more thing, I would recommend this plate for experienced stampers or for people who have a stady hand to color in the patterns, because some of them are really small and detailed.
I used a nail art brush for that, and all of the designs were created as stamping decals.

If you're still not sick of me, you can read a little bit more about me and my plate on the Bundle Monster blog HERE.

And finally, you can grab my collaboration stamping plate HERE.

  3. That is so exciting! I have wondered how these collaborations come about and I enjoyed reading your story. Your stamping is wonderful and I just LOVE your hand painting. How did you learn to hand paint nails? Are you self-taught or did you go to art school? I am doing stamping right now, but I really want to learn to hand paint them. However, the last art class I had was in the 6th grade and that was a long time ago. I don't even know how to start.

  5. Hey there! Can I ask what tool you used to fill in your moons in your gems/moth mani? I'm trying to do similar and am having a hard time not coloring outside the lines!
