 Today's post is going to be a really exciting one, for two reasons: I can welcome a new brand on my blog, and first time in my life I swatched glow in the dark polishes!

The Empowered collection consists of 4 shades, all of them are glow in the dark AND thermal! Whaaat???!! How awesome is that, right? They also have holo and flakies or shimmer, so they are basically changing all day long!

I must say, it was kind of a struggle to find out how to photograph the glow in the dark effect with my camera, but finally I was able to make some good enough swatches to show you their magic :) For the pictures I charged up my nails with my UV lamp for a couple of seconds and BAM! To activate the glow in the dark pigments, you can use natural sunlight or a simple lamp as well. Of course your nails won't glow for hours, but I tell you, it's a really fun thing to play around with.

NEVERTHELESS, SHE PERSISTED

Warm: a light grey base

Cold: mauve-purple base

It has an orange-yellow glow in the dark.

It also has a velvety holo effect and pink-purple shimmer flakes.

It covers in 2-3 coats.

This one had the least strong glow, but this had the most dramatic thermal colour change.  

YES, SHE CAN

Warm: light pink base

Cold: medium pink base

It glows white with multicolor sparks.

It also has darker pink microflakies in it.

I used 2 coats and topcoat.

SHATTERED GLASS CEILINGS

Warm: light grey base

Cold: medium blue base

It glows neon blue in the dark.

It also has a velvety holo effect, holo flakies and blue-teal-green-purple UCC flakies.

It covers in 2-3 coats. 

PANTSUIT NATION

Warm: olive toned yellowy base

Cold: sage green base

It glows neon green in the dark.

It has bronze-gold shimmer flecks and gold holo dust in it.

It covers in 2 coats.

I really like these polishes! One thing about the thermal effect though: I've found it a little bit hard to get them work (harder than other brands that I've tried). I guess it's because these polishes has many kinds of pigments (glow in the dark, holo, shimmer, ...), so it's not only thermal pigment, and less thermal pigment means less effect - but I might be wrong.
