A big portion of my nail arts are freehanded, and I would like to keep it that way, but sometimes I get lazy and for those days a nail vinyl set like this comes handy. It's from Born Pretty Store, and it contains 16 sheets, with various patterns.

Today I will show you my mermaid nails. I absolutely love mermaids, and when I saw this charm set at Born Pretty Store, I knew this is ment for me. First, I wanted to do something beach related, but I don't think I could do anything new in the theme, because EVERYONE is doing beach nails :D So I thought, let's do mermaid nails then :)

I decided to do a nail art over ILNP Mega(X), and I also wanted to try out how the Ultrachrome Flakies work in a nail art, I've never used those before this way. First, I outlined the roses and the leaves with black acrylic paint.

I like when a nail polish can be used all kinds of creative ways, and a lot of ILNP polishes are just like that! I was inspired by all that layering that's happening lately (see @lakkomlakkom Edina's blogpost for instance). This idea (using a "jelly holo" layerd with an ultrachrome flakie) is quite old, when the Ultrachrome Flakies came out I layered Open Field with Zoya Dream, and it looked wonderful, but I never took a photo of it.

After I swatched PP Tiffany, I thought I will do a nail art with it too. I wanted to paint cactuses on my nails for so long, I already had some inspirations saved (1, 2), so I choosed a handful of patterns and I painted on my nails with acrylic paint.

Today I will show you my first Cupcake Polish. I think it's sadly discontinued, but you can still grab a bottle at Color4Nails (I ordered it from Harlow&Co. like a month ago, but it's not available now). I wish this would be a permanent shade, because I think this is one of the best shades that Cupcake Polish have ever made.
