Illyrian Polish | Summer 2017 + Moonbow June COTM

Olvasd MAGYARUL                                                                                                                                 PR sample

Today I will show you swatches of the Illyrian Polish Summer 2017 collection, and the June COTM Moonbow. As usual, I'm speachless of all of these beautiful polishes. Vanessa, you did it again!

AQUILA
It's a dusty, greyed out teal kinda base, with holo dust and tons of gold-pink-purple-blue shimmer flakies. In real life, you can see a little bit more of that pink/gold shift, but I just couldn't photograph it.
It covers in 2-3 coats.

LYNX
It's a cold toned weird green (almost like a teal, but not quite) jelly base with holo dust and violet shimmer. It's one of my favorites, I love that base color with the shimmer so much!
It covers in 3 coats.

CETUS (thermal)
It's the only thermal of the collection, also the first ever Illyrian thermal. It has a dusty purple base color when it's cold and it turns into a light turquoise when it's warm. It has a turquoise shimmer. It's not the most dramatic color change, but finally a thermal that I like both of it's color.
It covers in 3 coats.

LYRA
It's a dusty light turquoise base with strong lime shimmer and holo microglitters. One of my favorites as well!
It covers in 2-3 coats, 1 thick coat of topcoat is enough to even out the surface

DRACO
It's a deep, blackened, dusty purple base with holo dust and green-blue shimmer.
It has a nice pigmentation, 2 easy coats is totally enough.

PHOENIX
It's a cold toned raspberry pink base with strong orange shimmer and silver holo microglitters.
It covers in 2 coats, 1 thick coat of topcoat is enough.

POLARIS
It's a slightly dusty medium blue base with green-teal shimmer flakes and holo microglitters. In certain light, I can see a tiny bit of purple tones in it as well.
It covers in 2 coats, I recommend 1-2 coats of topcoat.

MOONBOW - June COTM
It's a grey tint base with a slight purple undertone. It has holo dust, holo flakes, holo shards and green-gold-orange-pink irredescent flakes in different sizes.
This polish is breahtaking! A lot of indie brand tried to achieve an opal look, but I think this one is the closest (and it's not even trying to be one). Because the flakies are irredescent, they are come and go, also the holo particles reflect the light differently, creating a really interesting and glistening holo effect. Layering 2-3 coats of this beauty will create a gorgeous ethereal look (with full coverage).
On the down side...it's a smelly one :D @jessface90x said in a couple of her videos, that blue pigment can cause of this weird smell in nail polish, and I think that's the case here too. Thankfully, the odor disappears once the polish dries. I suggest 2 thick coats of topcoat, to make the surface completely even and glossy, because it will emphasize the opalescent look.

I'm wearing it for more than 3 days now, and I don't want to remove it. Although I'm quite curious how would this look as a topper over darker bases.

Since this is a COTM, it's limited edition! Sadly it's already sold out at the official website, but you can preorder it on Hypnotic Polish right now, also Nailland and Color4Nails will have it soon, so keep your eyes peeled. I might will buy a backup, because I would hate to run out of it.

So, the Summer 2017 collection is available at the Illyrian Polish site (Moonbow is out of stock), but everything is coming soon to Color4Nails and Nailland, also Hypnotic Polish is having a preorder to the Summer 2017 shades and Moonbow (with a little bit of discount).
