I recently bought 3 polishes from Color4Nails. 2 of them were Illyrian Polish, and I also bought Color Club - We'll Never Be Royals (hopefully I will have swatches of that one as well - possibly on my Instagram). Sisi from Color4Nails was kind enough to send the Color4Nails store exclusive duo too, which was such a happy surprise, thank you so much again Sisi :)
So I thought I will post all 4 Illyrian Polishes today.
I'm so happy about this shade. It's from an older collection, I haven't known Illyrian Polish back then, and when I finally discovered the brand, this shade was forever gone...until now! Seriously, I'm so happy that I was able to get it :D Now, only one shade is missing from my wishlist, it's As Above, So Below. Maybe I will be lucky again someday :)
So, Cecaelia has a blue toned medium-dark grey base, with small cobalt blue holo glitters and golden-olive shimmer flakes. Ahhhh, so stunning!
I would recommend 2 thicker or 3 thin coats and a thick coat of topcoat.
It's a slightly blue toned medium grey crelly base with orange-red shimmer.
It's really easy to apply, no streaking, I used 2 coats and topcoat.
I compared it with You Know Nothing, Jon Snow below. You can see that Jon Snow has a warmer base and pink shimmer. To be honest, I prefer Uneartly Whisper a lot more :)
And now let's see the Color4Nails store exclusive duo. Winter Morning is really similar in finish and coverage to In This Twilight, so it's an ethereal, see-through finish. It has a sheer periwinkle blue base with blue shimmer flakes and lots of blue irredescent glitters. As you can see those irredescent glitters cover perfecty in indiredt ligth/shade (see picture below), but they become transparent in direct light (see picture above). So this is definitely something that you have to keep in mind before purchasing. I used it in 3 coats here, and I personally like this ethereal look. You can also try it as a topcoat, I applied it over Darkess and Unearthly Whisper in 1 coat.
You will need at least 2 coats of topcoat to even the surface out, because of the heavy glitters.
This one is also packed with irredescent glitters, but in orange-red tones, plus blue-purple shimmer flakes. The warm purple jelly base is more pigmented in this one, so 3 thin coats will build up the color perfectly. Lots of topcoat is also advised here.
The downside of the exclusive duo is that they are sold as a duo, so you can't buy just one of the colors.
At the moment, all 4 shades are available at Color4Nails.
