And I'm back again with another Illyrian Polish collection. This time I'm showing you their Stranger Things inspired Fall collection. Thanks for this collection, I'm planning to rewatch the series, which I've never done before with a show...I guess that says something :)
There's 5 shades in this collection, and not surprisingly I love them all. I really tried to overcome my Illyrian obsession, but combined with a theme like this, I'm lost :D
ELEVEN
This gorgeous cold toned berry jelly base totally charmed me with those fiery glitters. They are seriously GLOWING out of the base. They are smaller and sligthly bigger irredescent glitters, and it also have scattered holo shimmer in it. In the bottle the glitters sift to blue to green as well, but on the nails the shifting is not that dramatic. It only shifts to a slightly green toned yellow. This polish is so feminine, yet interesting and badass, it amazed me so much that I wore it for 2 days straight, while I only swatched the other shades and that's all. You know how I'm not wearing feminine shades, but this one is OMG, I can't wait to wear it again!
I used 2 coats, but it dies quite textured. I recommend to gently tap the surface with your fingers before it completely dries, so you can manually smouth out most of the glitters, because otherwise you will need a LOT of topcoat to make it even. For the swatches and for the 2 days wear I used 1 coat of gel topcoat over it.
MOUTH BREATHER
It's a teal green base with strong violet shimmer.
In 2 coats it was a little bit uneven, so I applied 3 coats, but that way the shimmer totally overcome that gorgeous teal base. Well, I can't say that I don't like the result, but I wish it has a little bit less shimmer, so the basecolor could be more prominent.
THE UPSIDE DOWN
I must say the name was a little bit of surprise, I would've imagined something dark and moody for The Upside Down, but the polish is STUNNING regardless. It's a sheer purple tint base with lost of silvery-lavander and silver holo microglitters plus red irredescnet glitters that shift to yellow. They are so damn hard to photograph, but irl they are strongly present.
2 coats + 2 coats of topcoat.
DEMOGORGON
It's a dustly, blackened blue with slight teal undertone, lots of red-orange shimmer and purple irredescent miniflakes.
It covers in 2-3 coats depending on your application and nail lenght.
I'M THE MONSTER
It's a murky moss-swamp green jelly with pink-purple irredescent small flakes.
This one is the sheerest from the collection, I needed 3 normal coats.
The Illyrian Polish website is closed at the moment, they will have a restock on the 11th of November, 6PM central, including this collection as well. They don't ship internationally.
