I can't stay away from crystals, I'm just obsessed with them, so here it is, another crystal inspired nail art, this time 100% freehand. This nail art couldn't be more un-Spring, but if I like something, I don't really care about seasonality :D
I saw a stunning crystal photo on Instagram, I feel in love with the colors, so I saved the picture to use it as an inspiration. You can see the pic below (credit goes to @soliloquyjewelry on Instagram).
Awww, gorgeos colors, right?
I've done a dry marble base using a stamping head and my Bundle Monster Lotus Mat. I put drops of nail polish on the stamper first, than dab-dab-dab (á la simplynailogical) on the mat, until the colors blended together. After it dried I peeled it off, cut it into pieces, and sticked them onto my nails (as a sticker).
Polishes I used:
Sally
Hansen Plum Luck, Morgan Taylor Dress Up, Catrice Be My Violetine,
Morgan Taylor Totally A-Tealing, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle
I wanted to paint kind of a mystical
pattern over this moody base, and I did that with Mundo de Unas Gold
stamping polish (it's the best for freehand, because it doesn't dries on
you, it dries really slowly, so you can paint with it smoothly). I
outlined/detailed it with black acrylic paint.
I really like how this turned out, even though it's a little uneven and shaky up close.
Absolutely stunning!! Great post description of your inspiration and process too!!
