SWATCH | A-England: Captive Goddess & Incense Burner

Today I have two beauties from A-England's new collection: Rossetti's Goddess to show you. I got the polishes from Nailland to review, so let's take a look at them!

I think Captive Goddess is the most unique and interesting piece from the collection. You couldn't be more wrong if you think that this is a boring grey nail polish. Yes, the base is kind of grey, but it has a gorgeous icy bluish-green shine to it, it's absolutely amazing! The finish is so ethereal with the signiture A-England holo effect. I managed to capture it in direct sunlight too.
The formula is amazing (as usual), this is 2 easy coats with topcoat.

Incense Burner is a deep, purple-brown. In the bottle you can see an amazing green shift too, but it can't be seen in the nails...or can it? ;)
Let's start with the regular application. You can get away with one thicker coat, but I used 2 normal coats here (without topcoat). As you can see it's very deep, with a light pink/brown/copper shine/shimmer to it. Depending on the lighting situations it can be more brown or purple.
If you also want that cool green effect, then you have to gently wipe your nails with a tissue paper (or paper towel, but NOT cotton pad, because the threads will stuck in your nail polish!) soaked in nail polish remover. This way the little shimmers will come to live! The following pictures are the normal (non wiped) versions, and after that you can see the wiped version, and I also did a comparison to Zoya Sansa!

You can clearly see how much difference is between the original and the "acetone wiped" version. You can see that amazing green duochrome shift, and in general, it's much more alive. I like it million ways better.

I also did a comparison to Zoya Sansa, which is also a brownish-purple nail polish. Sansa is more purple than Incense Burner, and it has bigger gold particles in it. Both of them showed in 2 coats, but Incense Burner has a much better formula, it's better in opacity.
(In this picture Incense Burner is in the original version, without wiping it with an acetoned tissue paper!)

You can buy the A-England nail polishes from Nailland (if you live in Europe).
